Jean-Leopold Schuybroek is the Founder of Interel. Following a July 2011 management buyout from former parent company Hasgrove plc, he is now serving as Chairman of Interel Belgium and Vice-Chairman of the Interel Group of companies.

In recent years, Jean-Leopold has advised on the crisis and issue management of some of the most complex and high profile incidents in Europe, ranging from the banking crisis to food scares, major restructurings and product recalls. He has built up 25 years  of extensive experience in the public relations industry, covering all communications disciplines from corporate and institutional communications.

In recognition of his contributions to the PR industry, he was selected in 2003 by the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) to become one of its six inaugural members of the PR Hall of Fame alongside industry leaders such as Harold Burson of Burson-Marsteller and former Ketchum CEO and Chairman, David Drobis.

Jean-Leopold is a member of ICCO and continues to remain an active member of the Executive Committee. He is also a past president of the Public Relations Organisation International (PROI), the world’s oldest and largest international network of independent public relations consultancies, where he is now serving as Chairman of its International Development Committee.
