The annual ICCO European Forum is an opportunity for PR practitioners across Europe to come together and discuss the most urgent challenges they face across the continent. Organised by ICCO’s European PR associations, the event is used to both facilitate debate and to progress new ideas and joint initiatives for PR agencies across Europe.

Artificial Intelligence Ethics in Social Media (Panel, 16:05 – 16:40 CET)
The panel will explore how PR professionals can advise businesses and policymakers on ethical use of social media algorithms, psychological profiling, targeted PR and advertising, data mining, facial recognition – how this technology shouldn’t be used and how it can be harnessed for positive uses.

As a contribution to the UN’s COP26 this year, ICCO and PRCA conducted research on climate change communications and the role of PR professionals and agencies. This will be shared with the group along with information about the ongoing work to combat misinformation and re-frame the communications approach to climate change.
